Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer for the Stablecoin team within the Developer product group. You will build backend services powering international stablecoins, integrate external APIs, and contribute to rewards and growth systems across Retail, Exchange, Prime, and Custody products.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, autonomy, and collaborating with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building production backend services in a service-oriented architecture.
• Proficiency in Go and exposure to blockchain fundamentals (Ethereum or similar EVM chains).
• Experience evaluating and operating third-party APIs and external partner systems.
• Ability to deliver features end-to-end with autonomy from design through deployment.
• Familiarity with distributed systems patterns and writing well-tested production code.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services that power stablecoin issuance, onboarding, and operations, including integrating external partner APIs with internal systems to launch new international stablecoins.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from technical design through production, collaborating with product managers, designers, and tech leads.
• Support smart contracts that mint, burn, and safeguard stablecoin supply, working with senior engineers on design and security review.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across Stablecoins UX, Growth, and Ecosystem to deliver rewards and conversion features.
• Execute reliability and quality improvements across the platform, writing well-tested code and enhancing observability and operations.
