Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer (Backend) to help build and operate the international stablecoin platform.

You will evaluate external APIs, develop backend services for issuance and operations, and contribute to rewards and growth systems across Retail, Exchange, Prime, and Custody products. You will own features end-to-end, collaborating with product managers, designers, and tech leads, while supporting smart contracts and ensuring reliability and quality through well-tested code

Qualifications

Proficiency in Go and exposure to blockchain fundamentals (Ethereum or similar EVM chains).
Experience evaluating, integrating, and operating third‑party APIs and external partner systems.
Demonstrated ability to deliver features end-to-end with autonomy from design through deployment.
Familiarity with distributed systems patterns and writing high-quality, well-tested production code.
Utilizes generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

Build backend services powering stablecoin issuance, onboarding, and operations.
Own end-to-end delivery of features from design to production with cross-functional collaboration.
Support smart contracts that mint, burn, and safeguard stablecoin supply.
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver rewards and conversion features.
Improve reliability and observability of the stablecoin platform with well-tested code.
