Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Software Engineer to build backend services powering international stablecoins. You will evaluate external APIs, implement issuer/onboarding workflows, and support mint/burn operations while collaborating with product, design, and security teams to ensure scalable delivery.

In this role, you will own end-to-end features, contribute to reliability, and help drive growth through rewards and ecosystem initiatives across Retail, Exchange, Prime, and Custody products.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production backend services in a service-oriented architecture.
• Proficiency in Go and blockchain fundamentals (Ethereum or similar EVM chains).
• Experience evaluating, integrating, and operating third-party APIs and partner systems.
• Ability to deliver end-to-end features with autonomy from design to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services powering stablecoin issuance, onboarding, and operations with external APIs.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from design through production with cross-functional teams.
• Support minting, burning, and safeguarding stablecoin supply with security-conscious reviews.
• Partner with Stablecoins UX, Growth, and Ecosystem teams to drive adoption and rewards features.
• Improve reliability, write well-tested code, and contribute to observability and operational excellence.
