Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Stablecoins backend team.

You will build backend services powering international stablecoin issuance, onboarding, and operations, and integrate external APIs with internal systems to launch new coins. You will own end-to-end delivery from design through deployment, working with product managers, designers, and tech leads, while supporting mint/burn operations and platform reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production backend services in a service-oriented architecture.
• Proficiency in Go and exposure to blockchain fundamentals (Ethereum or similar EVM chains).
• Experience evaluating, integrating, and operating third-party APIs and external partner systems.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver features end-to-end with autonomy, from design through deployment.
• Familiarity with distributed systems patterns and writing high-quality, well-tested production code.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services that power stablecoin issuance, onboarding, and operations, including integrating external partner APIs.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from design through production with cross-functional collaboration.
• Support the smart contracts that mint, burn, and safeguard stablecoin supply.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver rewards, incentive, and conversion features.
• Execute reliability and quality improvements across the stablecoin platform with well-tested code.
