Job summary

Coinbase seeks a Software Engineer to build backend services powering international stablecoins, integrating external APIs with internal systems to launch new stablecoins.

You will own end-to-end delivery from design through production, collaborating with product managers, designers, and tech leads on scope and implementation. You’ll support smart contracts and partner with cross-functional teams to drive adoption.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building and maintaining production backend services.
• Proficiency in Go and exposure to blockchain fundamentals (Ethereum or similar).
• Experience evaluating and integrating third‑party APIs and external partner systems.
• Ability to deliver features end-to-end with autonomy from design to production.
• Familiarity with distributed systems patterns and well-tested production code.
• Uses AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost and quality.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services powering stablecoin issuance, onboarding, and operations with external APIs.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from design through production with cross-functional collaboration.
• Support smart contracts that mint, burn, and safeguard stablecoin supply with senior engineers.
• Partner with Stablecoins UX, Growth, and Ecosystem to deliver rewards and conversion features.
• Improve reliability and quality, contribute to observability, monitoring and operational excellence.
