Job summary

Rune Technologies in New York is seeking a Backend Software Engineer for Simulations to advance the TyrOS platform. You will own the simulations workstream, build production-grade forecasting models, and collaborate with forecaster leads and platform teams to deliver real-world sustainment insights.

You should have deep experience in scientific computing, production-quality software, and a love for solving complex logistical problems in demanding environments, with strong coding skills in

Qualifications

• Experience building software in scientific or mathematically complex domains (sensor algorithms, simulation, forecasting)
• Ability to work with mathematical models and numerical methods in code
• Strong production-quality software engineering foundations
• Degree or graduate work in a scientific field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Build and own production-grade simulation and forecasting software for TyrOS forecaster
• Collaborate with forecaster lead and platform team to integrate simulation into TyrOS workflows
• Triage and debug production issues to ensure reliability
• Work with engineers, product managers, and military stakeholders to meet sustainment requirements
