Notability in San Francisco is seeking an early-career software engineer to join the backend team. You’ll own core features across the backend, tackle scalability, and contribute to build tooling while shipping stable, well-tested code.

You will collaborate with mentors and peers, communicate clearly, and demonstrate ownership of outcomes while navigating unfamiliar areas and tough problems. Hybrid work with two onsite days in SF.

Responsibilities

• Own core features across our entire backend system, from client interactions to database queries and scalability
• Ship stable, readable, well-tested code serving Notability’s business
• Communicate clearly and proactively in writing and conversation
• Drive work to completion, handle ambiguity, review feedback and edge cases
• Jump into unfamiliar areas to solve tough problems
• Operate with respect for teammates’ ideas, victories, mistakes, and time
• Take feedback from mentors and peers to continuously self-improve
