Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a pragmatic backend engineer to build reliable and scalable software used by TRM customers and internal teams. You will design backend APIs with a focus on performance and customer experience, primarily in a Node.js-based stack.

As an early member of the Product Engineering team, you will own critical components, collaborate across functions, and help shape the roadmap while delivering impactful features that contribute to a safer financial system for billions of people.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building scalable systems, web apps, APIs, and services.
• Understanding relational databases (e.g., Postgres) and analytical DBs.
• Ability to translate customer pain points into technical and product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain public APIs as part of the API Product suite.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to transform vision into a tangible roadmap.
• Support internal business units via shared engineering services.
• Build reliable, scalable backend using Node.js and related tech.
• Lead technical anchors in weekly sprint cycles.
