Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for the CDP Foundations team. You will build core platform capabilities to enable businesses to launch and scale crypto products, focusing on backend services and APIs in a microservices architecture.

You will lead end-to-end feature delivery, drive reliability, and contribute to a high-quality developer experience. This is a remote-first role with in-person surges and strong collaboration across cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience building and maintaining production backend services in a microservices or distributed systems environment.
• Experience designing internal or customer-facing APIs with a focus on developer experience and clean interfaces.
• Familiarity with deploying and testing in microservice ecosystems with observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services in a microservices environment.
• Define internal and customer-facing APIs for CDP with clean design and dev-friendly interfaces.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of features from implementation through deployment and monitoring.
• Improve reliability and observability; address technical debt proactively.
• Participate in code reviews, on-call rotation, and incident response.
