We seek an engineer who can quickly learn the product, independently own feature development from idea through release, and build robust APIs while ensuring observability, SLA, and scalability. Collaborative, outcomes-focused applicants will fit our team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Operate independently but seek help when needed.
• Enjoy crafting large backend projects and own them through completion.
• Collaborate effectively with experienced engineers, including frontend engineers.
• Make sound trade-offs, preferring stable technologies over fad tech.
• Use customer problems to design simple, elegant solutions.
• Consider observability, SLA, and scalability without premature optimization.
• Comfort with AWS, PostgreSQL, and Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Learn the product, business, and technology quickly.
• Independently own and execute feature development from idea through release.
• Build APIs that other engineers use to solve customer problems.
• Maintain core infrastructure and systems for reliability and scalability.
• Identify and participate in company-building initiatives.
