Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a capable software developer to design, build, test, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Python. You will contribute to SDLC processes, ensure secure, scalable code, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient banking software solutions.

Responsibilities include implementing APIs, participating in code reviews, and aiding in modernization efforts with cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and/or Python with enterprise app experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• SQL and database development.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development practices including code reviews.
• Understanding of OO design and modern SDLC methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develops, tests, and maintains backend services, APIs, and microservices.
• Write clean, secure, scalable code with guidance as needed.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable cloud-native apps.
• Support automation, integration, and data-processing tasks using Python.
