JPMorganChase in Houston seeks a Software Engineer II for the Client 360 team. You design robust backend services and data pipelines powering a unified client view across the Commercial & Investment Bank.

You will collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and analytics to deliver scalable solutions on AWS, using Java, Python, and PySpark, while advancing AI-assisted development and cloud security.

Qualifications

• Formal software engineering training or certification.
• Minimum 2+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python for backend development.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark and Databricks for data processing.
• Experience deploying on AWS services (Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS).
• Experience with AI/ML models or AI tooling in backend systems.
• Familiarity with React or similar frontend frameworks for collaboration.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases; RESTful API design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using PySpark and Databricks.
• Deploy and manage AWS cloud-based infrastructure for reliability and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Integrate AI-powered tools to accelerate development and quality.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture planning.
• Monitor and resolve production issues ensuring high availability.
