Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Data Engineer III within the Consumer & Community Banking - Wealth Management team to design and deliver trusted data pipelines, storage, access, and analytics in a secure, scalable way.

You will develop, test, and maintain data architectures across multiple business functions, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements into reliable, performant solutions.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on data engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• UI development experience (production-grade interfaces).
• Experience services development (APIs for UI).
• Strong Java backend/service development (RESTful services).
• Exposure to agentic capabilities / LLM-driven workflows.
• Basic SQL knowledge for validation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, user-friendly UI components and workflows.
• Build and maintain experience services (API layer) using Java.
• Implement and integrate agentic capabilities into applications and user journeys.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements into reliable solutions.
• Debug issues across UI and services; use basic SQL queries to validate data and analyze defects.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, documentation, and engineering standards.
