Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a software engineer with 3-5 years of backend experience to design and deliver modern APIs and microservices in AWS. You will build scalable services using C#/.NET 8+, Python, and SQL, and implement event-driven architectures with AWS tooling.

You will optimize production systems, participate in CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure secure, high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core, Python, and SQL.
• Experience designing REST APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on with AWS services including Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with event-driven and distributed systems, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend apps using C#, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core, Python, and SQL.
• Build scalable REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services and event-driven patterns.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems with CloudWatch and observability tools.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment using Azure DevOps and Git workflows.
