Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking a Backend Engineer to join a fast-growing infrastructure software company. You will own design and implementation of distributed backend services, building REST APIs in Node.js and gRPC in Golang for orchestration and automation.

You will drive architectural decisions, focus on state management, observability, reliability, and collaborate with infra and product teams to translate complex requirements into production-grade systems across AI-enabled

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Proficient with Node.js and Golang in production.
• Experience building distributed systems at scale.
• Experience with MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, gRPC, Linux, and containers.
• Strong focus on scalability, reliability, observability, and ops.
• Ability to translate high-level infrastructure requirements into production designs.

Responsibilities

• Own design and implementation of scalable backend services for network automation.
• Drive architectural decisions across APIs, internal services, and control plane components.
• Build REST APIs in Node.js and gRPC in Golang for orchestration.
• Design resilient distributed systems for high-scale environments.
• Improve platform scalability, resiliency, and reliability.
• Advance reliability, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and product teams.
