Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong grasp of event-driven systems and event sourcing concepts.
• Solid API design instincts with REST fundamentals.
• Product thinking and focus on user outcomes.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote/async setting.
• Clear written communication and reliable follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve features in the event-sourced engine and REST/gRPC/MCP APIs.
• Own well-scoped work end-to-end from design to shipping.
• Ship high-impact engine features that scale to thousands of customers.
• Design clean APIs with backward compatibility in mind.
• Identify and optimize inefficient data-access patterns across stores.
• Maintain observability and contribute to on-call rotation.
