Job summary

CloudWalk, Inc. is seeking a security-focused engineer to design and maintain authentication systems for customers and internal services. You will build token issuance, validation, and rotation, and manage HSM-backed signing infrastructure while improving the security of auth flows in a regulated payments environment.

You will work with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and Terraform, and leverage Rust for core components. Strong English communication and cross-team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating critical infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) with Terraform.
• Experience with cryptographic authentication systems.
• Experience with OAuth/OIDC, JWT and SAML authentication flows.
• Experience with PCI compliant systems.
• Proficiency in Rust programming language.
• Knowledge of HSMs is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

• Develop and maintain authentication systems used by both customers and internal services
• Build and operate token issuance, validation, and rotation
• Maintain HSM-backed key management and signing infrastructure
• Improve the security of auth flows in a regulated financial environment
• Build SDKs and tooling that other engineering teams use to integrate with auth
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What You Need to Succeed

• Has operated critical infrastructure on cloud providers like GCP or AWS, using tools such as Terraform
• Has experience with cryptographic authentication systems
• Has experience with authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth/OIDC, JWT, SAML)
• Has experience with PCI compliant systems
• Is proficient in Rust
• Some knowledge of the Brazilian payments ecosystem is a plus
• Experience with HSMs is a plus
• Communicates clearly and effectively
• Advanced English communication skills, primarily for internal communication with our diverse, multinational team
