Job summary

Modal Labs is hiring backend engineers who love building developer tools used by leading AI companies. You’ll ship for scale across TypeScript frontend and Python services, with data stack including ClickHouse for analytics.

Candidates with experience in observability, billing, and B2B SaaS tooling will excel. You’ll participate in on-call rotations and help shape AI workflows at the edge of infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Shipped modern web applications end-to-end.
• Experience across the stack: TypeScript frontend and Python backend.
• Deep knowledge of observability tools for large-scale workloads.
• Experience with billing/payments systems, B2B SaaS tooling, enterprise software, or LLM/diffusion workloads.
• Strong product instincts and customer-focused problem solving.
