Job summary

Rogo is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to own the systems that run our AI-powered finance workflows. You will build production services, routing, approvals, notifications, reporting, provisioning, and the workflows that currently live in spreadsheets and people’s heads, turning ambiguity into reliable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 2+ years shipping and operating production backend systems end to end.
• Strong TypeScript for backend services with other language experience a plus.
• Hands-on experience deploying production services on a cloud stack.
• Solid SQL knowledge and data modeling for cross-system use.
• Experience building on LLMs in production with prompts and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own internal systems end to end: routing, approvals, notifications, reporting, provisioning.
• Build the internal data layer by integrating heterogeneous systems of record.
• Ship autonomous agents and monitor their behavior with guardrails.
• Automate customer lifecycle tasks like provisioning and onboarding.
• Work with the same AI tech powering the product and ensure secure data handling.
• Instrument and measure impact with metrics like hours saved and cycle time.
