Job summary

Lendbuzz is seeking a backend-focused full-stack Software Engineer to build scalable backend systems behind our products and shape the user experiences they power. This 70% backend / 30% frontend role involves Python services, RESTful APIs, and event-driven workflows, with collaboration across design, product, and backend teams.

The role requires a BS in CS or related field (or equivalent), 3+ years of backend experience, and comfort with React/Next.js/TypeScript as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years of backend development experience with Python.
Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Fluency with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
Strong testing mindset with TDD and automated testing practices.
Experience with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure.
Familiarity with React, Next.js, and TypeScript across the stack.

Responsibilities

Participate in all phases of agile software development from design to deployment.
Build and maintain backend services in Python for RESTful APIs and event-driven workflows.
Collaborate with engineering to design scalable, fast, reliable systems.
Contribute to frontend development in React, Next.js, and TypeScript as needed.
Develop internal tools and integrate with external APIs.
Support product releases and expand features impacting thousands of customers.
