Job summary

Lendbuzz Inc. is seeking a backend-focused full-stack Software Engineer to build scalable backend systems and contribute to frontend features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.

The role blends ~70% backend work with ~30% frontend, collaborating across design, product, and backend teams. You will own features from design through deployment, participate in agile cycles, and help expand services with a focus on speed, reliability, and scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, with familiarity in microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Fluency in relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL.
• Strong grounding in testing methodologies including TDD and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of React, Next.js, and TypeScript, with willingness to contribute across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of agile software development, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Build and maintain backend services in Python, supporting RESTful APIs and event-driven workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to architect systems for speed, scalability, and reliability.

• Research, prototype, and evaluate new tools to improve development workflow.
• Develop internal tools and integrate with external APIs.

We're looking for a backend-focused full-stack Software Engineer to build the high-quality, scalable backend systems behind our products, and to help shape the user experiences they power.

You will play a key role in developing and scaling our in-house Operations team’s experience, owning features from design through deployment and collaborating closely with design, product, and backend teams to deliver scalable, high-performance systems.

This is a full-stack role with about 70% focus on backend systems and a 30% focus on frontend.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in all phases of agile software development, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment
• Build and maintain backend services in Python, supporting RESTful APIs and event-driven workflows
• Collaborate with engineering teams to architect systems optimized for speed, scalability, and reliability
• Contribute to frontend development in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, working across the full stack as product needs require
• Research, prototype, and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve our development workflow
• Develop internal tools and integrate with external APIs
• Contribute to the expansion, testing, and release of products that impact thousands of customers

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of backend development experience
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, with familiarity in microservices and event-driven architecture
• Fluency in relational database technology such as PostgreSQL
• Strong grounding in testing methodologies, including TDD and automated testing frameworks
• Experience with AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure
• Familiarity with agentic development workflows and AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar), and an interest in applying them to real engineering work
• Working knowledge of React, Next.js, and TypeScript, with a willingness to contribute across the stack
• Proven ability to work independently, with strong communication and interpersonal skills

$110,000 - $120,000 a year
