Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of backend development experience with at least 2 years in a senior or lead position.
• Proficiency in Python, Java or Go and building RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Linux, AWS and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of frontend and backend engineers, with a primary focus on driving backend system design, architecture, database development, API optimization, and overall backend performance.
• Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems and APIs, ensuring they align with product requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and frontend teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality, integrated solutions.
• Drive operational excellence by overseeing code quality, conducting code reviews, ensuring robust quality assurance processes, and actively monitoring production systems.
• Foster a culture of mentorship and continuous learning by guiding junior engineers, reviewing their work, and helping them grow technically and professionally.
• Champion the use of best practices in backend development, including database design, API development, and distributed system architecture.
• Manage and prioritize tasks within an Agile team, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals and milestones.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend and frontend systems, optimizing the overall user experience.
• Take an active role in driving innovation, improving system performance, and scaling backend infrastructure to meet growing business needs.
