Job summary

The American Girl Nashville retail store (Franklin, TN) is seeking a dynamic Merchandise Handler for Back of House support, including unloading/loading trailers, maintaining stock on the sales floor, and organizing back of house areas for peak efficiency with ample on-hand supplies.

Responsibilities include processing stock shipments, packing returns, monitoring stock levels, and assisting in overall retail operations while prioritizing safety and guest service.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in retail or service industry, either in material handling, shipping, receiving, retail or warehouse stock handling, preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Friendly and approachable, able to assist guests (including children) respectfully.
• Available to work open and close shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming stock shipments in a safe and orderly fashion and maintain stockroom standards.
• Pack up and load trailer with returning merchandise (returns, rework and doll hospital).
• Maintain stock on the retail sales floor and monitor stock levels ongoing.
• Assist in the general execution of the retail business and safety, including floor moves and equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrates flexibility in prioritizing tasks to meet business needs.
