Job summary

West Coast Dental is seeking a Back Floor Supervisor in Southern California to oversee daily operations of the clinical back office, supervise dental assistants and support staff, and maintain OSHA and infection control compliance while supporting providers and patient flow.

You will train new team members, conduct audits, manage supplies, and collaborate with the Office Manager to achieve operational and patient-satisfaction goals in a collaborative, SERV-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Current RDA license preferred (if applicable).
• Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and sterilization procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the clinical support team.
• Monitor daily patient flow and adjust staffing to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure all operatories are fully stocked, organized, and treatment-ready.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and company policies.
• Train and onboard new clinical team members.
• Conduct regular audits of sterilization and clinical protocols.
• Manage clinical supply inventory and ordering.
• Partner with the Office Manager and providers to achieve operational and patient satisfaction goals.
• Address patient concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Position Summary
