Job summary

West Coast Dental is hiring a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) full-time in California. You will support multiple specialties, prepare rooms, and assist dentists across general, ortho, and oral surgery procedures. The role emphasizes patient care, compliance, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active California RDA license is required.
• Current X-ray certification (CA).
• Coronal polish and sealant certification.
• CPR/BLS certification current.
• Knowledge of sterilization procedures and OSHA compliance.
• Experience with multiple specialties is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards.
• Assist dentists during general and specialty procedures (ortho, oral surgery, etc.).
• Take, develop, and process dental X-rays.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed.
• Support operatory flow in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with front/back-office teams to deliver care.

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to OSHA standards
• Assist dentists during general and specialty procedures (including ortho, oral surgery, etc.)
• Take, develop, and process dental X-rays
• Maintain accurate patient records, charting, and documentation
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
• Manage operatory flow and support efficiency in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with front and back-office teams to deliver exceptional patient care
• Be a key part of creating a positive patient experience from start to finish
• Take initiative to learn new skills and assist across multiple specialties
• Participate in mentoring programs to grow your clinical expertise and advance your career
