Job summary

Sample Supports invites motivated undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in residential services, case coordination, and compliance for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will work with experienced staff, learn about Medicaid and state requirements, and participate in interdisciplinary discussions to enhance professional skills in human services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with quality‑assurance reviews and documentation audits
  • Support compliance monitoring for Medicaid and state requirements
  • Help organize individual records, training documentation, incident reports, and compliance materials
  • Participate in residential visits and provider‑support activities
  • Assist with residential assessments and health and safety monitoring
  • Attend interdisciplinary meetings and case discussions
  • Communicate professionally with individuals, providers, families, guardians, and team members
  • Learn about Host Home, Family Caregiver, PCA, and supported apartment services
  • Observe and report health, safety, documentation, or compliance concerns
  • Build professional relationships with residential providers and community partners
  • Gain limited exposure to direct services to better understand residential programming
  • Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and HIPAA standards
  • Complete other internship projects based on learning goals and program needs
