Job summary

LifeStream is seeking a Behavioral Health Emergency Evaluator to conduct crisis assessments and coordinate rapid interventions at the Beverly Hills, FL center. A 4-year degree and at least 2 years of behavioral health experience are required, with strong communication and EHR skills.

The role includes night shifts and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must uphold confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards while contributing to ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health or emergency evaluation settings.
• Experience in crisis intervention preferred.
• Ability to use electronic health records and other software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients presenting in crisis to determine the nature and severity of their behavioral health needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement crisis intervention plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Provide immediate support and stabilization services to clients experiencing acute behavioral health issues.
• Document client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with center policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure understanding of evaluation outcomes and recommended interventions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in crisis intervention and behavioral health care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to emergency behavioral health evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and regulatory standards in the provision of emergency behavioral health services.

Job Purpose: The Emergency Evaluation (BA) primarily provides assessments and intervention services for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises and/or seeking substance abuse detoxification services.

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate emergency situations and determine appropriate interventions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records and other relevant software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all professional interactions.
  • Flexibility to work shift hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
