Job summary

Standex International is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support the field sales team, third‑party Manufacturer Representatives, and customers for our Standex Detect Electronics Business Unit. This office‑based role is in Fairfield, OH, with the option to work 1 day per week remotely.

You will manage and grow an assigned portfolio of accounts, collaborate cross-functionally, and provide technical and commercial quotations. Quoting projects and meeting sales targets are key objectives.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven inside sales or account management experience in a B2B engineered products environment.
• Basic understanding of electrical/electronic components or industrial equipment preferred.
• Strong phone and written communication skills; able to manage high volume of calls and emails.
• Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
• Customer-focused mindset with problem solving and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage an assigned portfolio of accounts; maintain regular contact.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Service.
• Establish profitable pricing levels through internal/external collaboration and quoting projects.
• Support customers throughout the order process to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Understand product specifications and cross-sell/upsell related products.
• Provide pricing quotations and follow up on quotes, samples, and web leads to close business.
• Contribute to short- and long-term sales forecasting and pipeline risk reporting.
