Job summary

Focus Camera is seeking an Account Executive to grow our SLED sales channel for our emerging B2B division in Brooklyn, NY. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, bid response management, quoting, order processing, and account development with government agencies and educational institutions.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of B2B sales experience, strong communication skills, and experience using procurement platforms and HubSpot.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of B2B sales experience.
• Experience responding to RFPs, RFQs, bids, or procurement opportunities.
• Experience working with government agencies, educational institutions, or other public-sector customers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Proactively lead government and education sales initiatives.
• Respond to RFPs, RFQs, bids, and procurement opportunities.
• Generate and qualify government and education sales leads.
• Prepare competitive quotes, pricing proposals, and product recommendations.
• Identify and communicate with purchasing managers, procurement officers, and other decision-makers.
• Collaborate with account executives, sales specialists, and bid teams on strategy and deal execution.
• Conduct outbound calls and lead-qualification activities.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, prospect lists, sales activity, and customer information.
• Process sales orders and coordinate timely fulfillment of awarded contracts.
• Provide customer support and post-sale follow-up.
• Clearly communicate product features, pricing, purchasing options, and contract terms.
• Manage multiple bids, quotes, orders, and customer requests while meeting deadlines.

Focus Camera is seeking a motivated Account Executive to build and grow our State and Local Government and Education (SLED) sales channel for our emerging business-to-business division. This is an exciting opportunity in a high-growth segment of the business and a great fit for a highly proactive sales professional that can bring energy, experience and best practices implementation to a division poised for major impact on the organization.

This role focuses on identifying procurement opportunities, bid response management, quoting, order processing, customer support, proactive outreach and account development. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with government agencies and educational institutions in a fast-paced sales environment.

eCommerce experience, familiarity with photography, audio-visual, IT or electronics products and experience using HubSpot are strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Two to four years of business-to-business sales experience
• At least two years of hands-on experience using one or more government or education procurement platforms, including TIPTAP, OGS, PEPPM/PEPPME, OMNIA Partners, EMI, or another SLED-related procurement system
• Experience responding to RFPs, RFQs, bids, or government procurement opportunities
• Experience working with government agencies, educational institutions, or other public-sector customers
• Strong phone communication and lead-qualification skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience maintaining CRM records and customer activity
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and with a team

Preferred Qualifications
