Job summary

Altus Commercial Receivables in Metairie, LA is seeking Business Collector Specialists to join our team. You will contact debtors by phone, mail, or email, evaluate financial situations, review contracts, resolve disputes, and negotiate resolutions in compliance with regulations.

You’ll collaborate with clients, support staff, and peers to meet monthly quotas, maintain professionalism, and build productive payment arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in debt collection, sales, telemarketing, customer service, or call center is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry; Excel skills are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to de-escalate disputes.

Responsibilities

• Make a minimum of 80 outbound/inbound calls per day.
• Negotiate payment in full or arrange a payment plan.
• Create urgency to encourage debtor compliance and timely resolution.
• Collaborate with Client Support Representatives to resolve disputes.
• Maintain professionalism and integrity in all interactions; meet quotas.
