Job summary

Ledgent is seeking a detailed‑oriented B2B Collections Representative to manage an assigned portfolio of commercial accounts. The role focuses on driving collections, handling inbound customer inquiries, and supporting credit decisions while maintaining strong client relationships.

You will conduct outbound calls and emails to secure payment on past‑due invoices, resolve billing issues, and document activity.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with Outlook and email management/communication.
• Good basic Excel skills including creating basic spreadsheets, sorting and formulas.
• 1 or more years of customer service or b2b collections experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and collect on a portfolio of business accounts
• Conduct outbound calls/emails to secure payment on past‑due invoices
• Handle inbound calls, answering account inquiries and providing invoices/statements
• Resolve billing issues and disputes professionally
• Review accounts to approve/deny new credit and credit line increases
• Maintain accurate documentation of all account activity

Requirements

• Must have experience with Outlook and email management/communication

• 1 or more years of customer service or b2b collections experience

Soft skills

• Quick learner - will be trained on the process before actully collecting
• Relationship building - this is very customer service focused collections
• Team player - Tight team of 4. (3 in office, 1 remote in Bakersfield) works closely with billing and other departments
