Job summary

State of Illinois is seeking an Information Technology System Administrator to support the IT infrastructure and cloud services, under supervision of the IT Operations Team Lead. You will manage Microsoft Exchange Online, Active Directory, firewalls, virtual servers, and enterprise platforms, ensuring stability, security, and performance.

Qualifications

Four years of college plus five years of professional experience as a system administrator in a Microsoft Azure Hybrid or fully converted Azure Cloud Environment.
Knowledge and experience managing Windows 11, Windows Server 2019 and above, SQL Server, and network services (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
Experience with Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Microsoft Teams Calling, and Google Cloud technologies.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency officials, vendors, and clients.
Ability to coordinate activities of lower-level technical staff.
Ability to write scripts.
