The role emphasizes Terraform-based infrastructure, Azure networking, and PowerShell automation, in collaboration with DevOps for reliable releases.

The candidate should have 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience, strong Azure skills, and familiarity with CI/CD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Systems Engineering / IT Operations.
• Hands-on production Azure experience.
• Terraform IaC experience for cloud infrastructure.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace).
• Strong networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for production Azure environments and drive root-cause analysis.
• Build, enhance, and standardize Azure infrastructure using Terraform for repeatable deployments.
• Support and troubleshoot Azure networking and resolve related incidents.
• Identify repeatable tasks and reduce toil with PowerShell automation.
• Partner with DevOps/engineering to support CI/CD and release workflows.
• Implement and maintain monitoring/observability with tools like Azure Monitor and Dynatrace.
• Ensure runbooks, SOPs, and documentation are ready before production releases.
• Assist with audits, evidence collection, and security/regulatory compliance.

Overview
This role blendshands-on operational supportandproject deliveryto keep core cloud platformsstable, secure, and scalable. You’ll focus heavily onAzure infrastructure,Infrastructure as Code (Terraform),Azure networking, andPowerShell automation, while partnering with DevOps to improve release readiness and production supportability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for production Azure environments, acting as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and drivingroot-cause analysisthrough resolution.
• Build, enhance, and standardize Azure infrastructure usingTerraform (IaC)to support repeatable deployments and environment consistency.
• Support and troubleshootAzure networking(e.g., VNets, subnets, NSGs, routing, DNS, connectivity) and resolve network-related incidents impacting services.
• Identify repeatable tasks and reduce operational toil usingPowerShellautomation (scripts, tooling, runbook-style workflows).
• Partner with DevOps/engineering to supportCI/CD and release workflows(Azure DevOps/Jenkins or similar), ensuring deployments are tested, documented, and operationally ready.
• Implement and maintain monitoring/observability using tools such asAzure Monitor, Splunk, Dynatrace(or similar) to improve reliability and reduce time-to-detect/time-to-resolve.
• Ensure runbooks/SOPs, validation steps, and support documentation are in place prior to production releases.
• Assist with internal/external audits, evidence collection, remediation efforts, and adherence to security/regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related)or equivalent experience
• 5+ yearsin Systems Engineering / Infrastructure / IT Operations
• Strong hands-on experience supportingAzurein production
• StrongTerraformexperience building/managing cloud infrastructure as code
• StrongPowerShellscripting/automation experience
• Familiarity withCI/CD tools(Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, etc.)
• Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing) and strong troubleshooting skills
• Proven ability to document, create runbooks, and support production operations

Estimated Min Rate: $75.00
