Job summary

Monks is seeking a Cloud Azure Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security solutions for client cloud assets in Microsoft Azure. You will assess security posture, develop control policies, and collaborate with engineering teams to enforce security and compliance throughout cloud environments.

The role requires 2+ years in cloud security with Azure, experience with Entra ID, CA policies, and IaC tools like Terraform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud security engineering with focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) and cloud IAM.
• Experience with Entra ID Conditional Access policies (MFA, risk-based access, device-based controls).
• Experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions and containers.

Responsibilities

• Assess security posture of Azure environments to identify vulnerabilities and gaps.
• Develop and maintain security control policies for cloud environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable security controls.
• Conduct regular security audits and remediation planning.
• Design and implement security solutions across infrastructure, network, identity, and access management.
• Support enforcement of security and compliance controls in Azure.
