Job summary

King & Spalding is seeking a Security Architect to design, implement, and oversee security solutions protecting infrastructure, applications, and data. The role emphasizes Microsoft Azure, Defender suite, and cloud security across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include collaborating with IT and risk teams, documenting security controls, and ensuring compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR. A strong background in cloud security and automation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity with focus on security tooling, architecture and cloud security.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure Security Services (Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure AD, Azure Firewall).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security architectures focused on Microsoft Azure environments.
• Develop security documentation and best practices for enterprise assets and data.
• Integrate and optimize secure web gateways, zero trust access, CSPM, and data protection.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, and stakeholders to align security with business objectives.
• Participate in security and technology troubleshooting and risk remediation activities.
• Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR; stay current on threats.
