Job summary

Howden is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and operate secure Azure infrastructure for the US retail platform. You will use Terraform IaC, manage Databricks infrastructure, and partner with data engineers to ensure reliable platform capabilities.

The role emphasizes an automation-first mindset, security, governance, and ownership, with opportunities to influence architecture and deployment patterns in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or similar hands-on role.
• Proven hands-on experience building and operating production workloads on Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate, and operate secure, scalable Azure infrastructure.
• Provision and manage Azure services using Terraform and IaC across environments.
• Build and maintain infrastructure for Azure Databricks, including Unity Catalog, networking, and security.
