Job summary

Howden is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and operate secure Azure infrastructure across the US platform. You will implement IaC with Terraform, support Databricks integrations, and ensure scalable, governed cloud foundations for engineering teams.

You should bring 5+ years in cloud infra/DevOps, strong Azure expertise, and a builder mindset to move from idea to production with minimal guidance while collaborating across security, data, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or similar hands-on roles.
• Proven experience building and operating production workloads on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD to automate cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate, and operate secure, scalable Azure infrastructure.
• Provision Azure services using Terraform and IaC, creating reusable patterns.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
• Collaborate with data engineering, security, infrastructure, and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot complex Azure infrastructure issues and optimize governance.
