Job summary

Mesilla Valley Transportation seeks a Platform Engineer II to administer, automate, secure, monitor, and improve Fabric, Azure, and Azure DevOps platforms. You will drive standardized, scalable, and cost-effective services, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with data teams.

The role focuses on building CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and proactive troubleshooting to ensure peak reliability and performance across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–7 years of platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, or related technical experience.
• Proficiency in Azure, Azure DevOps, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with CI/CD, automation, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, security, and deployment solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills; ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Manages Azure, Azure DevOps, Fabric services and enforces platform standards.
• Develops and implements CI/CD, IaC, automation, monitoring and deployments.
• Troubleshoots complex platform, deployment, security, and capacity issues.
• Improves reliability, scalability, security, performance and cost.
• Mentors Level I Engineers and guides best practices.
• Collaborates with application and data teams for integration and performance.
• Resolves complex database issues and provides cloud expertise.
