Job summary

Mesilla Valley Transportation is seeking a Platform Engineer II to administer, automate, secure, monitor and continuously improve the Fabric, Azure, and Azure DevOps platforms to provide reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient services for the organization.

You will develop CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automation and monitoring solutions; mentor Level I engineers; and collaborate with application and data teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–7 years of experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, or related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, or Microsoft Fabric; multi-platform experience preferred.
• Experience building CI/CD, automation, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, security, and deployment solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; experience mentoring others or leading projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage Azure, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Fabric and related platform services; implement standards and processes.
• Develop and implement CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, monitoring, alerting, and deployment solutions.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex platform, deployment, performance, security, and capacity issues.
• Develop plans to improve platform reliability, scalability, security, performance, cost, and developer productivity.
• Mentor Level I Engineers with guidance on best practices and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with application and data teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
