Job summary

Mesilla Valley Transportation in Las Cruces, NM, is seeking a Platform Engineer II to administer, automate, secure, monitor, and continuously improve our Fabric, Azure, and Azure DevOps platforms to deliver reliable, scalable services for the organization.

You will lead CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code initiatives, troubleshoot complex platform issues, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with application and data teams to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
2-7 years of experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, or related role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, or Microsoft Fabric; multi-platform experience preferred.
Experience building CI/CD, automation, IaC, monitoring, security, and deployment solutions.

Responsibilities

Manages Azure, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Fabric and related platform services; leads platform standards and processes.
Develops and implements CI/CD, IaC, automation, monitoring, alerting, and deployment solutions across environments.
Leads troubleshooting and resolution of complex platform, deployment, performance, security, connectivity, and capacity issues.
Develops and executes plans to improve platform reliability, scalability, security, performance, cost, and developer productivity.
Mentors Level I Engineers and provides guidance on best practices.
