Trex Company is seeking a Platforms & Cloud Engineer to own and optimize our Microsoft Azure environment. You will design, deploy, and secure cloud services, collaborating with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to deliver reliable solutions that align with business goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience, with hands-on Azure expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or systems engineering environments.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft Azure in production.
• Effective verbal and written communication with users of varying technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer the organization's Azure environment, ensuring stability, performance, and security.
• Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize Azure infrastructure including networks, VMs, storage, backup, and platform services.
• Manage Azure governance: subscriptions, management groups, policies, tagging, cost controls, and compliance.
• Monitor health, availability, capacity, and performance of cloud infrastructure; address issues proactively.
• Lead cloud architecture and modernization initiatives for scalability and resilience.
• Collaborate with vendors for quotes and managed services for Azure and AWS.
• Participate in incident management and on-call support; assist with cross-site travel when required.
• Liaise with IT disciplines to ensure proper support of operations.
