Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY is seeking a Platform Engineer to lead our Azure-centric cloud initiatives. You will execute complex deployments, resolve escalated issues, optimize operations, and drive automation across environments.

This role requires hands-on expertise and proactive problem solving to enable scalable cloud services. Responsibilities include designing and supporting Azure IaaS and PaaS, migrating workloads, reducing costs, enforcing security, and maintaining robust operational

Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years as a Cloud Engineer with Microsoft Azure experience.
Deep understanding of Azure IaaS, PaaS, and core services.
Experience with automation/orchestration tools within the Azure ecosystem (e.g., Azure Automation, Terraform, PowerShell).
Ability to analyze and optimize cloud costs.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with cloud security concepts and tools.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex Azure environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Serve as escalation point for the Cloud Services team, resolving challenging technical issues.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of our cloud architecture for scalability and reliability.
Participate in cloud migration projects to optimize workloads.
Drive automation of cloud processes and deployments using tools like Azure Automation, Terraform, PowerShell.
Analyze cloud spending patterns and implement cost-saving measures.
Collaborate with security teams to enforce cloud security policies.
Develop and maintain operational processes, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and disaster recovery procedures.
