Job summary

Trex is seeking a Platforms & Cloud Engineer to own and optimize the Azure cloud environment, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability for enterprise applications.

You will partner with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to deliver robust cloud solutions aligned with business goals and technology strategy in Winchester, VA. This full-time role demands leadership in cloud design and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of progressive enterprise infrastructure or systems engineering experience.
• 3+ years hands-on Azure administration in production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize the Microsoft Azure environment for stability and security.
• Design, deploy, and operate Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Manage governance, cost controls, policies, and compliance in Azure.
• Monitor health, performance, and capacity; proactively address issues.
• Collaborate with networking, security, and application teams on cloud solutions.
• Participate in on-call and incident response; after-hours support as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors for cloud products and managed services.
• Support lifecycle activities including upgrades and migrations.
