Insight Global seeks a Manager, Microsoft Cloud Services to define strategy, architecture, governance, and security across Azure, Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365. The role focuses on governance and architecture rather than daily ops, and leads a small technical team and strategic partners.

You will drive modernization, manage risk, and ensure cloud services are secure, scalable, and cost-efficient through automation and strong vendor collaboration.

Job description

The Manager, Microsoft Cloud Services is responsible for the strategy, architecture, governance, security, and optimization of the organization's Microsoft cloud environment, including Azure, Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365. This role leads a small technical team and strategic partners, establishes platform standards, drives cloud modernization, manages risk and compliance, and ensures cloud services are secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective. The position is focused on strategy, governance, and architecture, rather than day-to-day operational support.

Day to Day:

• Owns the company's Microsoft cloud strategy
• Leads a small team of Microsoft cloud engineers
• Makes architecture and design decisions
• Creates security and governance standards
• Oversees Azure, Intune, Entra ID and Microsoft 365
• Works closely with Cybersecurity
• Manages vendors and consulting partners
• Controls cloud spending and licensing
• Leads modernization and automation initiatives

Required Skills

• Leadership experience managing cloud, infrastructure, identity, endpoint, or Microsoft platform teams
• Deep expertise with: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 administration
• Azure architecture and governance experience, including: Landing Zones, Azure Policy, RBAC, Management Groups, Networking and hybrid environments,
• Identity and Access Management (IAM): Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, Identity Governance, SSO (SAML/OAuth/OpenID Connect)
• Intune endpoint management and device security
• Exchange Online architecture and mail flow management
• Cloud security, compliance, audit, and risk management experience
• Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, CI/CD)
• Vendor management and executive stakeholder communication
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Microsoft certifications (Azure Architect, Microsoft 365 Administrator, Identity Administrator, Endpoint Administrator)
• Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, or Purview experience
• Pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industry experience
• Experience with ITIL, NIST, CIS, COBIT, or Zero Trust frameworks
• Experience with tenant migrations, acquisitions, or large-scale cloud transformations

Compensation:

$50/hr. to $67/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
