Job summary

Planet Pharma is seeking a Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer II, Cloud to own the organization’s cloud infrastructure, identity platform, and Microsoft cloud ecosystem. You will architect, implement, and govern Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure services to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions.

This role partners with security, infrastructure, and business teams, leads modernization initiatives, and mentors engineers while setting governance standards and automation practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT/CS/engineering.
• Azure Administrator/Architect or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, administer, and optimize Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Azure services.
• Lead cloud governance, lifecycle management, and service adoption strategies.
• Design and maintain identity and access management solutions (CA, SSO, MFA, PIM, RBAC).
• Develop cloud automation using PowerShell, Graph API, IaC, and workflow platforms.
• Monitor health, performance, capacity, and reliability of cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with Security to implement controls, compliance, and audit readiness.
• Lead migrations and modernization projects across cloud services and identity systems.
• Provide Tier III escalation support for complex issues.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and governance standards.
• Mentor engineers and promote cloud best practices.

Position Overview

The Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer II, Cloud serves as the senior technical owner for the organization’s cloud infrastructure, identity platform, and Microsoft cloud ecosystem. This role is responsible for the architecture, implementation, optimization, security, and operational governance of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure-based services, and enterprise cloud infrastructure technologies. The position partners closely with Information Security, Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, HRIS, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, highly available, and compliant cloud solutions that support business growth and operational excellence. The role operates with significant autonomy, leads enterprise cloud modernization initiatives, and establishes technical standards, governance frameworks, and automation capabilities that improve efficiency, security, and reliability across the technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, administer, and continuously optimize Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure infrastructure services, and related cloud technologies.
• Lead cloud platform governance initiatives, including lifecycle management, operational standards, configuration management, and service adoption strategies.
• Design and maintain identity and access management solutions, including Conditional Access, Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, Privileged Identity Management, and role-based access controls.
• Develop and support cloud infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, Infrastructure as Code methodologies, and workflow automation platforms.
• Monitor cloud platform health, performance, capacity, availability, and operational metrics, implementing improvements to enhance service reliability.
• Partner with Cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain security controls, compliance requirements, threat protection capabilities, and audit-ready operating procedures.
• Lead migration, integration, and modernization projects involving cloud services, identity systems, enterprise applications, and infrastructure platforms.
• Provide Tier III escalation support for complex infrastructure, cloud, identity, and collaboration platform issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, operational procedures, governance standards, and support runbooks.
• Mentor engineers, administrators, and support teams while promoting best practices for cloud operations, automation, security, and continuous improvement.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms in complex, regulated environments.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and enterprise identity management technologies.
• Demonstrated ownership of cloud infrastructure strategy, governance programs, and multi-year platform roadmaps.
• Experience implementing enterprise security controls, compliance requirements, and access governance frameworks at scale.
• Proven success leading cloud transformation, modernization, or platform maturity initiatives across multiple technology domains.

EDUCATION

• Relevant cloud, infrastructure, identity, or security certifications are highly preferred (Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Enterprise Administrator, or related certifications).
