Job summary

Stallion Infrastructure Services is seeking an Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and operate a hybrid IT infrastructure with a focus on the Microsoft Azure cloud.

Responsibilities include maintaining networking, compute, storage, and platform services; managing cost optimization, security, and DR across regions; and leading migration and modernization initiatives with vendor coordination and automation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Azure infrastructure design and operation, including networking, compute, storage, and identity.
• Knowledge of cost management, monitoring, and governance in Azure.
• Strong Windows Server AD and Linux admin, firewall concepts and security.
• Proficient PowerShell scripting and API usage.
• Experience with backup, DR/replication platforms and high availability design.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains Microsoft Azure infrastructure across regions and environments.
• Owns cloud architecture for production, development, and DR.
• Designs and deploys Azure managed services with HA and DR decisions.
• Provides infrastructure foundation for AI platforms, including private endpoints and DNS.
• Manages Azure cost optimization, reservations, right-sizing, capacity planning.
• Administers Entra ID and Azure RBAC, including custom roles and MFA.
• Maintains on-prem AD, DNS, DHCP in multi-DC setup.
• Designs and administers firewall/network security across locations.
• Architects disaster recovery, cross-region replication, and DR testing.
• Leads migrations from on-prem to cloud and replacement of aging tools.
• Supports new site openings/closings and acquisitions with network buildouts.
• Maintains security cadence: patching, CVE remediation, firmware upgrades.
• Manages vendors and contracts; oversees third-party security assessments.
• Creates and maintains architecture documentation and procedures.
• Develops scripts/automation to reduce manual work.
• Plans infrastructure work via formal PM processes.
• Provides Level 3 support and participates in PoCs.
• Implements security tools and change management.
