Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to shape and advance our Azure environment. This hands-on role leads architecture, modernization, and governance while staying close to technology. You will influence the Azure roadmap and operational standards at scale.

You will design, implement, and automate infrastructure, IAM, and security, coordinating with IT to ensure resilience, monitoring, and disaster recovery across a growing enterprise.

Qualifications

• Deep experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Cloud architecture, cloud operations, and infrastructure modernization.
• Expertise with Entra ID, IAM, and Microsoft cloud technologies.
• Infrastructure-as-code and automation experience, ideally Terraform/Ansible.
• Strong understanding of cloud governance, monitoring, security, resiliency, and disaster recovery.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise environments with significant operational requirements.
• Hands-on senior technical leader and individual contributor.
• Experience with M&A integrations, tenant/mailbox migrations is valuable.
• Strong communication across technical teams and IT leadership.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and optimize enterprise infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.
• Define and evolve cloud architecture strategy, standards, and roadmap.
• Lead cloud modernization and migration initiatives across the enterprise.
• Design and improve identity and access management leveraging Entra ID.
• Support infrastructure integration for M&A activity, including migrations.
• Establish cloud governance, security, monitoring, resiliency, and operational best practices.
• Drive automation through Terraform and Ansible and IaC practices.
• Improve observability using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Architect solutions for backup, DR, and business continuity.
• Partner with IT operations to improve incident management and workflows.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance and mentorship as an IC.
• Evaluate emerging cloud, automation, data, and AI capabilities for ops.
