Job summary

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Assistant Director to lead cloud platform delivery across multiple government initiatives. You will set technical direction for Azure Government, establish DevSecOps practices, and balance speed, quality, and risk while guiding teams and stakeholders.

Strong security and governance focus is required. The role requires 7+ years in engineering with cloud experience, Azure AZ-104/AZ-305, IaC, containers, and networking.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in engineering with cloud IaaS, PaaS, and/or SaaS.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT or equivalent.
• AZ-104 and AZ-305 certifications.
• IaC & CI/CD with Bicep, Azure DevOps, ARM templates, or Ansible.
• Container workloads with Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, Helm.
• Networking: VNets, NSGs, UDRs, load balancing.
• Cloud security concepts incl. NIST, FedRAMP.
• Identity management with Entra ID, RBAC, PIM.
• Windows & Linux admin, patching, hardening.
• PowerShell scripting; Python a plus.
• Govt security frameworks experience.
• Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe).
• Willingness to obtain Top-Secret clearance.
• AWS/GCP experience; Azure Policy & multi-tenant design.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of cloud platform and infrastructure capabilities across initiatives.
• Guide technical direction for Azure Government platforms; ensure scalability and security.
• Establish and evolve DevSecOps practices and automation.
• Make trade-off decisions balancing speed, quality, security, and risk.
• Lead architecture and design efforts; review solutions for standards.
• Oversee risk, dependency, and issue management; escalate as needed.
• Influence stakeholders to align priorities and drive execution.
• Develop and grow engineering talent through coaching and feedback.
• Promote operational excellence and continuous improvement.
