Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer Expert to design and build cloud application development and hosting platforms on Azure and GCP. You will lead architectures, promote infrastructure as code, and ensure reliability, security, and scalability.

You will mentor engineers, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate across teams to translate new technologies into the platform. Experience with Azure networking, Terraform, and AI open‑source tooling is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with Azure Cloud and related services.
• Experience with Azure networking components (Express Route, Azure DNS, routing).
• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, Agentic and AI open‑source ecosystem.
• Experience with GCP AI services and Terraform development.

Responsibilities

• Leads, architects, engineers and develops the Azure/GCP networking infrastructure for business strategies and requirements.
• Influences strategy and executes engineering roadmaps around infrastructure as a service; executes strategic engineering proof of concepts around infrastructure platforms.
• Champions engineering practices and helps teams define and setup frameworks for infrastructure as code and automation.
• Troubleshoots availability and performance incidents, identifies root causes, fixes and documents problems, and implements preventative measures.
• Leads postmortem activities to identify systemic solutions to improve overall operations of the platform and updates policies and procedures.
