Job summary

Info Origin Inc. is seeking a Senior SQL Server DBA in Columbus, OH with hybrid work options. The role focuses on managing, securing, and optimizing enterprise SQL Server databases across on-premises and Azure environments.

The candidate will install, patch, monitor performance, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery, while supporting developers and performing migrations to Azure. A strong T-SQL and SSMS background with Azure experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience.
• Strong SQL Server, SSMS, and advanced T-SQL skills.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Strong knowledge of backup/recovery and HA/DR, including Always On.
• Experience with SSIS/ETL and database migration.
• Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Key Vault, Azure Backup, and Azure RBAC.
• Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade SQL Server databases.
• Monitor and tune database performance, queries, indexes, blocking, and deadlocks.
• Manage backups, recovery, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR).
• Support Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
• Perform database migrations between on-premises SQL Server and Azure.
• Manage database security, permissions, encryption, Azure RBAC, and Key Vault.
• Support developers with database design, T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• Automate DBA tasks using T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Provide Tier III troubleshooting and technical support.
